An Apex  Asia Holidays representative will organize a small pre-trip meeting at the hotel lobby before commencing the day trip. Please bring a copy of your passport, travel insurance document and three passport-size photos.

Then we head off for sightseeing of the Kathmandu Valley. You will visit three main places: Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most revered temples for Hindus. Every year thousands of pilgrims visit the temple from different countries. Bouddhanath is located in the outskirts of Kathmandu city and is a holy Buddhist monument. Meeting monks, learning about Buddhism and stupa dome is the main attractions of Bouddhanath. Finally, Bhaktapur Durbar Square large premises of ancient house and temples is a settlement of local ethnicity called Newars. Fifty-five-window Palace, golden temple, pottery house are definitely worth a visit in the tour.

After the tour, we head back to Thamel, where our guide will help you with checking gears required for the trek. There are plenty of trekking shops in Thamel, so you can rent or purchase if you’ve missed anything to bring.

Today you will fly to Nepalgunj, southwest from Nepal. It is a one-hour flight. Nepalgunj very close to Nepal-India border, which is only 3kms away from here.

The day beings with a scenic flight to Jumla, which is 2340m above sea level. it is an one highest towns in the country where the paddy can grow. It is also the administrative town of Karnali zone. Once you land at Jumla, we start trekking towards Rara Lake. We first reach Padmara, the first camp on the right side of Chaudbise Khola along the pine forest, then on to Urthu (2520m). it is the meeting point of two rivers: Chaudnise Khola and Ghureseni Khola. Cross a suspension bridge and walk up thru the narrow gorge of Ghurseni Khola and finally reach at Padmara (2740m). It is a village with native Kshetri caste, an ethnic group of Nepal.

Along the Ghurseni river we walk for some time, then start a climb to the first pass Ghurchi Langa (3557m). Once we cross the pass, we descend about 200m and cross a bridge to turn west. Again continuing to descend we reach Lah Gad (2743m) through dense forest and again cross the log bridge over Sinja Khola, and up to Burma (2830m).

Today we are leaving to Pina (2,430m), the trail continues up steep way to reach Bharagoan (2890m). The zigzag trail goes on towards Ghautha Khola, then cross the log bridge and trek to Pina through narrow ravine via Chautha.

The path to Rara Lake is through pine forests and the settlements of Topla (2,740m) and Jhari (2,460m). It is about eight kilometer from Pina. The view of Mugu Karnali in down and Himalaya of Humla is outstanding. And finally we reach the meadows on the southern part of the lake (2,980m).

Today we off to Ghorasingha from Rara Lake, following Khatyer Khola that is the outlet of the Lake. Climb steep to Ghurchi Lake (3749m), once we reach the top we can see Himalayas at a close distance. Then take the downhill path to get to Chuchemara Dada from the east side and reach Ghorasinga.

The trail goes down to Botan (2,895m) then undulates to Diyabala Dada and Lumsa with good views of Sinja valley. It is a wonderfully fertile land and there are numerous archaeological offcuts from the Malla empire of the fourteenth century.

After crossing a log bridge over Sinja Khola, we walk on south banks of Jaljale Gad and after a few hours we ascend up the ridge. The trail finally gets to Chere Chaaur via Ju Gad with many water crossings.

Chere Chaur is a charming alpine meadowland with bird’s eye view of Jumla, Tila valley and Chyakhurey Lekha. A short descend from Chaur we will bring us to Jumla.

We fly early morning from Jumla to Nepalgunj, and then take a connecting flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu. Both the flights are scenic: while flight from Jumla gives you good close up views of giant peaks, including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, flight from Nepalgunj gives you a panorama of the Himalayas afar and the rugged midhills of Nepal. In the evening, there will be farewell dinner in a traditional Nepali restaurant with folk music and dance performance.

The trip concludes today. Your guide will drop you off at the international airport for your departure back home.
