Overview

Among the treks of Nepal, Langtang Valley Ganja-La has one of the more challenging and tricky passes, which needs good equipment and an expert local guide. The trip begins from about 8 hrs drive from Kathmandu to Syabru. Langtang region is a valley that lies in main Himalayan border to Tibet in a lower range of snowy peaks. Explore the Tamang village, Tibetan village and low altitude glaciers are the main attraction of the trek. Langtang Valley is made by Yala Peak on north, Leonpo Gang in north-east and Mt. Langtang Lirung in the west.

The trail connects from valley to Ganja-La pass to provide beautiful panoramic views of Langtang Lirung. After crossing the pass we reach a Sherpa town called Tarkeghyang, but the Sherpas of Trakeghyang are different from those hailing from Solukhumbu. There is a mix of Sherpa, Tamang and Lama cultures.
